Dr. Cerveny received her B.A. (Honours) in Psychology from Western University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Waterloo.
While at UW, she completed practicums at Lutherwood, completing complex psychological assessments with youth, as well as at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, ON, completing mental health assessments and therapy for individuals with Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive disorder. Dr. Cerveny completed her predoctoral clinical residency at Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, AB, where she completed rotations in Complex Diagnostic Assessment, Child Abuse, Nephrology, Sleep Disorders, and Feeding Clinics.
After completion of her residency, Dr. Cerveny began her career as a Director of a residential program with preadolescents who had a history of trauma and maltreatment. She was also completing psychological assessments for students through the Calgary Board of Education and supervising graduate students.
